  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The support I have received has been good. I occasionally felt that feedback was not up to standard and when we did receive feedback it came very late on and this made it difficult to improve work to the standard I would have liked. However, this is now improving massively.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel confident that what I have learned at college has massively supported me in my role. Without these lessons, my current knowledge wouldn't be as good as it is now.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Mace hold a lot of networking events both internally and externally to help you develop your contacts within the industry. There are also social events which help break the ice and integrate the apprentices amongst one another.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Mace to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Mace have a great reputation in the industry with a vision that really matches what I want to achieve in my career. They treat you as an individual and you do not get swept up in the corporate side of the business. It is a fantastic place to work/learn.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mace?
  • Be confident in your own strengths and weaknesses. It isn't always about what you know but about how you present yourself and how you would therefore represent the business. If you are a moldable individual with a passion to learn then these drivers can help you massively.
