For the 18 months I was based full time in college where I carried out a Multiskilled NC of electrical and mechanical Then once I had completed this I was moved to shadow engineers assisting them in their work and carrying out my level 3 qualification and also being sent to training.
I have learned hand skills and wiring within my time at college I have also been learning to follow wiring diagrams and how electrical systems work. The work I do helps me to develop my problem solving ability and challenges me to think things through more than any other job.
I really enjoy my program as it challenges me to be better in what I do day to day in work and makes me work together with others and also allows me to learn about myself and develop my skills and the company pushes me to be the best version of myself.
The program is very well structured the whole process is reviewed constantly and my progress is monitored throughout and I have a chance to input my opinions throughout the company has my development pathway laid out for me and assist me in where I want to go within the company.
I receive a great deal of support from my employer in everything that I do within the company whenever I have any issues my manager always does his up most to help me resolve the issues and in my course in college the company has always given me the time to do all the assignments needed.
In my course in college the company has always given me the time to do all the assignments needed. the have assisted me in choosing my units so that i am able to complete them to a high level and giving me work that will allow me to complete the tasks set by the college.
The qualification that I am working through at the moment allows me to have a better understanding of the tasks that I have to carry out in the work activities that I undertake and it allows me to develop my hand skills and my problem solving ability has benefitted from my courses.
At this moment to my knowledge there are not any extra curricular sports or networking events but there is talk of trying to get some teams started to help as team building exercises and to help raise the morale within the company. There are regular team meeting and after them there is usually a meal and a night out.
