My role is a Universal banker this means I complete simple and complex queries, open accounts, lending and internet banking problems making sure customers are fully satisfied. I also hold the floor to manage time scales and appointment diaries making sure everything day to day goes smoothly and making sure lunches are adhered.
learning to break down complex queries through coaching methods taught by my trainer and colleague which I was previously struggling with, I do this by breaking down the conversasion into small bitesize subjects for me and the customer and writing down a break down of a resolution and what the original query was.
I have enjoyed it so far great help and support and the topics are relevant to my job and industry with great resources available to help me succeed in my apprenticeship and revise accordingly. I have been working hard and feel the satisfaction on completing and succeeding in my current apprenticeship.
it started very organised and structured however I have had issues with tessalo no pages working and having to wait a week before deadline due date, which was stressful and frustrating and I expect to have a better quality of service from a major organisation, apart from this everything has been great.
I received a lot of support when I had questions that needed fast responses, my talent coach was super efficient and quick to answer emails, calls and any other type of contact. she did not give me the answers but the solution to help find the answers which I appreciated greatly as this means I have to work hard to get the answers I needed.
my manager has been very supporting, giving me time off when needed during day to day activities so I can complete revision, my tasks and practice exams. when I struggled with task I could not understand the wording of questions and task, she explained in depth and detail until I understood fully.
I have a clearer understanding and it has improved my knowledge skills and attributes, previously I could talk to customers about the products and day to day life but now I also have confidence in talking about the background of why HSBC's Procedures are in place and giving extra information I have picked up along the way.
no their is no such thing however we do have charity events I have registered to completed which I am looking forward to and gives a break from work life but means I can put skills learned through work and the apprenticeship to help people even if it is not banking related.
Yes
very good organisation to work for and a lot of hard work brain power and certain style required to work for a global organisation. I like the way it portrays itself as a bank and how they are always progressing and developing staff as best as they can on a daily basis.
make sure you are dedicated commited and you are a hard working for a bumpy ride ahead, it is challenging and tough but very rewarding. whatever you wish to put in, is what you will get out and not to give up if you feel you are not going the way you should speak with your line manager they are very supportive.
