On a day to day basis my role normally includes being part of the assembly line in the factory, this will soon change and I will then move to the stores department where i will be for several months. I will then move into the offices which i will move around departments to find which one I am best suited to.
I have learnt new skills and developed my existing skills. At college we are learning new things every week to do with our course which is electrical based. We are learning a wide range of electrical skills that I didnt know already and also improving my knowledge i already had.
I enjoy every minute of it. I like the work I am doing at the moment because I get to use my hands and actually build things that will then be used by a customer. This makes me feel like I am contributing to schneider and helping gain a greater revenue.
The prgramme that I am completing is very well structured. At college we have due dates for all assignments and structured lessons. At work we have set dates that we swap departments in the factory so we can learn different areas of the company, we have been part of manufacturing and assembly.
I recieve lots of support from my employer, they have equiped me with all the tools I need when I am working on the assembly lanes and they have also given me a laptop to use for wrk that requires it and also to complete work for college. They also provide travel money so that we can get to work.
I recieve lots of help from my training provider because they provide me with all the materials I need when making something that goes towards my portfolio we have for our qualification. They also provide me with the tools that I need when completing these projects, this saves me from bringing the tools I have from work to college.
At work I am challenged with problems that requires knowledge of knowing howing to work with elecrical items and to alos perform safely when doing so. I ave learnt how do most of the things I do at work at work but college has given me the knowledge of why everything I do needs to be done to that requirement.
Schneider set up lots of different activities for me to get involved such as Scarborough Engineering week, this was a week where I went and spoke to school children about Schneider Electric and what we do. They also set up weeks away with all the other apprentices at Schneider to create a cohesion in the company.

Be yourself becaus they are looking for the people who will be themselves and express what there strengths are say how you ould be able to use them to help the company progress. Also, aim high and have big ambitions for your future because you can acheive them while working for schneider.
