Oversee the effective generation of high quality candidates within our self employed retail estate. I support the operations team in their talent searching and succession planning by co-ordinating resourcing activity across the region. I am the lead point of contact for the candidate throughout their journey with Marston’s ensuring a great candidate experience at all times and finding candidates their perfect pub! I also facilitate open days, attend and present at regional operations meetings, conduct a training session on recruitment compliance on the Interface Induction Course for our new operators.
I have found that through my apprenticeship course I have developed my communication skills, my resilience and increased my knowledge of wider HR issues, such as TUPE, HR legislation and policies and procedures which will help me within my current role and also help me develop my career with Marston's longer term.
I've really enjoyed the programme and it has enabled me to explore different areas of HR for my longer career goals.
My programme is well organised and structured. The only thing I have struggled with is the off the job learning time.
My line manager has been very supportive throughout my programme.
I've had regular catch ups with the training provider and any concerns have been quickly rectified.
I fell I have been able to utilise some of the knowledge I have developed through the qualification and I'm looking forward to being able to ultise some of this through my role both now and in the future.
