For the role of a claims handler, I am required to progress a claim as far as I possibly can. This involves having to review files and coming to decisions on liability. I also have to deal with queries from policyholder's so am tasked with taking calls and then looking to find the solution/answer for the customer.
As this would be my first job, there have been numerous new skills that I have been able to gain as well as existing skills I have developed. The main one that I feel has been developed for me is problem solving as I am placed in situations where I get queries in relation to a claim and that I am tasked with finding answers for those queries.
