manage the claim process from start to finish, this can include setting up a new claim from the TPFR stage, establishing liability, monitoring the hire/repairs of TPV, analysing the invoice once received and if there is any issues with this, Negotiate with the Credit hire company to settle the claim.
The role itself uses a lot of existing skills that I had already obtained from past experiences, I have developed on my previous skills around working as a team to achieve a common goal. I have also learnt/ developed my time keeping and task management which can been seen in the proactive management of a claim.
The experiences from the programme have changed throughout the months that I have been here. The first couple of months were more to do with settling in to the role and getting to know the other apprentices, now it is more enjoyable to get into the role it self to get a more hands on feel.
It has been well structured from the outset, the guidance has allowed us to settle in to the role.
The support is more than enough, there are dedicated handlers that have been put in place to support us.
At first the support was very little, However we have been provided with the correct tools now to learn the correct things.
It helps a lot as it gives a background to the area of work that I am in from day to day.
