as an overall my job is to help the customers of the bank with there queries at first point of contact with things ranging from balances to making payments for them. on a day to day basis I ill be helping customers by either completing the actions there asking me to take or getting them to the correct place and to be giving the best customer service possible, and also completing the work for my apprenticeship.
since I started the apprenticeship I have learnt some new skills and developed some existing ones. I have become a lot more confident in speaking in group discussions and speaking to people more confidently in general and I have also started to slow down when I speak and to speak more clear so people can understand me.
overall ,my experience on the apprenticeship so far has been an enjoyable experience as I have met new people, I have learnt some new skills and developed some old ones, I'm enjoying learning as I go on instead of learning to do a job. I am also enjoying having an income for my work.
from what I have experienced so far ,there are some aspects of our apprenticeship that are more organised then others, we have a very well organised shift schedule and our portfolio work is set out in a very organised way ,but because of the company being busy we cant always get the time out to actually complete the work.
so far our employers have provided us with great support ,from the start in our training with a very in-depth training course to 8 weeks of being in a secured environment whilst being on the phones, which is great for the support wee need with daily meeting to help us with problems we may have.
as of now I personally have not received a lot of support from bpp as we have only just started doing our course work as we have been training and we have only had one meeting with our training provider but this is no fault of anyone within bpp or Santander.
as my previous answer I have only just started working towards my qualification which my training provider is helping us gain by the end of our apprenticeship ,but from what I have seen of the qualification so far I have grasped an idea of how it will help me preform better within my job role.
unfortunately I haven't had chance to be involved in anything like this but at work there are things that we can do ,for example we will do things like charity events for our chosen charity's ,with things like bake sales ,in work activity's and dress down days for our chosen charity's: Alzheimer’s Society and national numeracy Santander have also hosted football events due to our sponsor of the uefa champions league.
Yes
I would recommend Santander to a friend as they provide very good support along side my journey throughout my apprenticeship. they are also a very good company as they often give back to the community and getting everyone together to our charity's and also some other charity's we help.
when applying for a Santander apprenticeship I would advise that you show the 9 behaviours which Santander try to push forward and the right attitudes as you can learn a job but people struggle to change there behaviours and also use past experience as a boost to help you on your journey.
