My role involves delivering a good customer service on a daily basis and making each and every customer leaving happy and dealing with they banking needs. Also learning on a daily basis which involves classroom training. Our role also requires us to build a portfolio at the end of the year..
Since starting my new role in January, I have developed my skills in many different areas such as speaking to customers on the phone and developing my soft skills with the customers. I have learned to adapt to different customers on the phone and my listening skills have also improved.
I really enjoy this apprentership programme as it has variety of things to learn. The job itself has allot to learn so I am always learning new things about the banking world and also improving my skills on a daily basis. So I can say I have learnt many things and have enjoyed all parts of my apprentership.
I feel our apprentership programme is structured very well as it is split up in different sections so it makes learning much easier and it is very helpful as we get the necessary time to learn and do our job in the best way posiible. The structure is very oragnbsied for the year.
I receive allot of support from my employer as Santander are giving me all the necessary training required for me and also receive documents and training sessions throughout the week. We are given experienced advisors guiding us in our training on a day to day basis so learning is much easier.
My training provider gives us all the information we require as part of our classroom training and teaches us everything in a well structured way. We receive allot of training and go in detail with all the processes to make sure we understand and know how to carry out different processes.
I feel the qualification we are working towards helps massively when doing our job on a daily basis as it gives us the relevant time needed to learn more about the systems and how to carry out tasks for our customers queries. It also give us a better understanding of how banks work which is very helpful.
We have many different activities on different days which each have a new theme to help raise money for charity. We have a football tournament for us to take part in.We also have activities going on to raise money for charity and its very good to get involved with different things as it it something different each time.
Yes
I would recommend Santander to a friend as I believe it is the perfect place to get into the working world and gaining the relevant experience for a young person. I feel they give you all the necessary training and more to help develop everyone working for them .I feel anyone who wants to succeeds in a bank then Santander is a perfect way to start from nothing and build your skills quickly and feel comfortable in a working environment as all the support is given so it makes your start to your working journey easier.
I would advise anyone who is applying for Santander to be committed and to show the right behaviours and everything will fall in place. As long as you are determined to learn on a daily basis then everything will work out. So listening to the trainers and giving your best will get you a good outcome .
