General audit procedures such as testing.
Yes, you learns a lot of things, mainly cause you're thrown in at the deep end, but you get used to it eventually.
The work is tough and sometimes dull, the people are what get you through it.
The programme is very well organised.
You are allocated a people manager and a career coach, these people will answer any queries you have. Any ex-course members in the office are also more than happy to help out.
ICAEW provide resources, the university provide a lot of support.
I had a basic knowledge of the services I was providing when I arrived which helped me get to grips with the role.
