I was a "Work Experience Student", which meant I was in a different department each day and therefore had a different trainee each day, who guided me and gave me tasks to do (which other people in the office did too). Tasks ranged from drafting documents to summarising and researching. We were also given presentations every morning on different law-related topics.
I think have definitely improved my ability to ingest and summarise information.
Very - the firm is very relaxed and everyone's approachable
I was involved in some projects and always treated excellently.
Very - half of the first day was spent on induction and we received IT training. At the start of the programme, we were given temporary email accounts in the firm and a timetable of the week, as well as the names of the trainees we'd be with and their departments.
