A new skill that I have learnt is how to use Confluence. This has been a great addition to my development as a graduate as I now know how to add documents and share them with stakeholders. Another skill that I have learnt is stakeholder management, I know how to gather requirements from the different stakeholders.
I have been enjoying learning new things in a structured way, as it has broadened my understanding on different topics such as Requirements Engineering, this has been greatly beneficial. However, the workload can be a lot at times, especially on top of completing any work deadlines that I have. However, I am learning how to manage my time and these deadlines effectively.
My programme is very well structured in terms of the work that is provided in each training session is clear and succinct and super informative. It has also been very well organised so far. The training sessions have always been on time and the training instructor is always very helpful. I will learn everything that is sufficient in a good amount of time
I receive a lot of support from my employer in terms of if my skills are not being utilised effectively in a certain project, they are very helpful in terms of helping me find different areas in which my skills could be utilised and ensure that I am being as productive as I can be.
When working towards my qualifications, I have received support from my training provider as if there is something that I am unsure of then this I always explained to me clearly and I always feel comfortable asking if I am unsure of anything. The training provider also has a consultant that supports us with our work.
I feel like the qualification I am doing helps me perform a better role at my job as it teaches me the standard practices that I need to do in my role as a Business Analyst. It also teaches me things like interviewing skills which I can apply to my role when I have to gather documentation from different stakeholders
There are a few extra-curricular activities to get involved in at work. Such as different talks for example 'Women in Project Management' which is very interesting. In addition to this we also have 'discovery days' which are days that can be spent volunteering to help with our communities. In addition to this there are usually sports tournaments going on which are exciting.
Yes
I would recommend Santander to a friend because I feel as though it is a great company to work for. They are very invested in your development, especially as a graduate. It has a friendly environment and whilst working here you will definitely have a great work-life balance. I also believe that there is sufficient room for growth at this company
I would say to just be yourself, make sure you highlight all of your strengths and any extra-curricular activities that you do such as if you like to play any sports all the way to if you take part in any charity events. Also, I would say when applying, make sure that you have evidenced any examples of where you have achieved a strength.
