I was a member of the audit team of PwC. Each client can be different and you will be given different areas to audit most probably. Basically you get allocated an FSLI e.g. Accounts Receivables and then you audit that FSLI. I had to speak with the client for any questions and prepare my area to be reviewed.
Being on a placement has been really help full in developing and learning new skills. From my placement i had to be very organised due to workload resulting to improving my organisation and pro activeness. I really enjoyed the programme. Being in this programme gives you a break from the university and studies. At the same time you get a paid job in one of the Big four companies therefore you get the chance to learn skilful audit things and apply you university knowledge in practise.
The programme is well organised. We get a training session before coming to job, then we get a brief meeting on the first day of the job to provide us with all information needed. Also we have the people manager, buddy, ex- fs and fs champion to refer for any questions .
PwC work environment is really good. Seniors members to managers, in-charge and associates were help full in coaching me through my staff. Even thought i worked in a busy period and everyone had a lot of work to do people were available to answer my questions and walk me through.
