my role is a customer service advisor who takes calls on a day-to-day basis. in my job role I help customers with their bank accounts, transfers, balances, general enquiries and etc. my job role includes, listening to customers, adapting to them and understanding their queries or problems. I also have development time for my maths this is the apprenticeship side to the programme which helps me with my education.
I have learned how to speak to customers and how to deal with certain queries in the work place. iv developed on my listening skills by listening to customers on a daily basis, I have developed on my confidence as I couldn't imagine myself speaking to different customers the way I am now. I have also developed on speaking up, I speak up when I need to and that has helped me lot in situations.
I enjoy the programme because it has helped me with my confidence, time keeping, speaking up and many more things. I enjoy this programme because I learn new stuff everyday in the work place and by dealing with customers from all around the world. I enjoy the programme because I enjoy talking to customers.
the programme is well structured because I was in the training class for 7 weeks and then up on the floor taking calls for 7 weeks, the programme gives you enough time to get a full understanding of the job, behaviours and policy's. the programme is structured and organised simply and is understood clearly.
the support I receive from my employer is very helpful, we have meetings, one-to-one with our managers to cover anything that is needed to be covered in that day or week. my manager is always checking up on me and going over topics that I need to develop on, I work on the feedback he gives me and develop further.
the support I received and still receive is positive and helpful, my trainer zuleka supported me in the classroom and explained everything in detail, she made everything clear in the training class and spoke to me individually, she supported me personally and helped me with topics I was struggling on.
My training helped me in many ways, it helped me by teaching me what kind of customers I will be dealing with on a daily basis, helped me to prepare, helped me personally with my confidence, time keeping, speaking up and communicating with other individuals. Overall the training helped me positively
There are a variety of activities such as getting involved in charity days, women in business, comic relief and etc., these take place in the site and as colleagues we have dress down days every Friday and dress down week. Working in Santander is fun as all colleagues and managers get together and come up with events and activities for everyone to take part in.
Yes
I would recommend Santander to a friend as it is a very good environment to work in, not only you work there are behaviours which everyone in the work place follow. I would also recommend Santander to a friend because it helps individuals develop further in their career, for example you could grow further by working in the same place.
The tips and advice I would give to individuals who want to apply for Santander is to create a good cv with detailed information on it, prepare for the interview and research about the companies rules, behaviours and etc. overall I would say to them if they really want it they should apply and be motivated and dedicated as it is not easy.
