Associate level in auditing involves being on client site on a day-to-day basis and work on several areas like cash, payroll, PPE and some more complex areas like revenue etc.
Learnt to develop time management and organisational skills. Also got the opportunity to coach junior team members and in-charge some of the teams.
The Flying Start Programme gives the best of both world where we gain university experience during the Autumn term and get the opportunity to learn on the job during busy season.
The programme has been in place for more than 12 years where it started in Newcastle university and is now proposed by University of Reading and Nottingham University as well. The structure of the programme gives the opportunity to put what we learn in practice.
PwC provides support in various ways and caters for the needs of its employees. Each new joiner is assigned a career coach to give advice on how to benefit from the what the firm provides and structure the our objectives. The firm also provides resourcing facilities where we can request to work on clients/ industries that interest us.
Training before going on placements has been provided by managers of the firm where they shared their experiences.

The Gatwick office has a great social committee which organises several activities in the year. For example, the office went ice skating in London followed by a Xmas dinner. We also went go-karting in January and have a Summer ball planned in a castle in Kent. Otherwise there are several other committees like the CSR committee which organises charity events.

Before coming to assessment days, be prepared and research what the firm does and the sort of clients we work with. Interviews are a big opportunity to impress the employers, so be confident and be the best version of yourself!
