Our years are divided into 3 sections - autumn at university, spring at placement and summer term back at university for exams. This way we get a chance to get work experience and professional qualifications along with our university degree which gives us a more unique university experience and makes us more employable.
Along with our university degree, we work towards the ACA qualification which is overseen by the ICAEW. While at placement our computer skills are improved along other soft skills such as organisation, time-management and project management. I personally had a chance to develop personal qualities such as flexibility and adaptability.
I have enjoyed university experience immensely as I had a chance to meet like-minded individuals and a chance to push myself. I got to work with a wide variety of people across the UK and even internationally. There were hard moments that I have had to experience but I felt very supported by the university and the company.
The course is organised very well from the beginning. We pick our office in the first year and spend the whole year at university. Second and third year, we split time between university and work, we are at university September to December, and again in April to June, while January to March is spent at work. Fourth year we have a longer placement, from November to March.
We receive training before every placement to prepare us for work and we receive this training in second, third and fourth year. We also get additional e-learns to do while on placement. I personally had health issues and I was helped immensely by the employer and felt very supported by them.
We receive lectures before every placement to prepare us for work and we receive this training in second, third and fourth year. The lecturers are helpful and do everything they can to support and develop our learning. They are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and approachable. The lectures are specifically geared to help our placement work.
We receive lectures before every placement to prepare us for work and we receive this training in second, third and fourth year. We also receive training before placement work starts to help prepare us for the work we do during placement. Our knowledge from university is applied in our placement.
The office always have multiple opportunities for extra curricular activities. There are socials, office drinks, office sports events, office charity events and other events that the office carries out. These are wonderful opportunities to get to know the people in the office and feel as though we are a part of the office.

I have a wonderful and fulfilling time at PwC as it gave me a chance to develop and grow as an individual, a student and as a professional young adult. It gave me multiple networking opportunities and helped me come into my own as a young adult. I have enjoyed my time at PwC greatly.
Do your research and be genuine. It helps to be calm and collected as it is a relaxed environment. Be respectful and open while still not being afraid to challenge opinions. Speak clearly and concisely. Don't be afraid to ask questions and just have a good time with it.
