My day starts with switching on the equipment, setting up the kitchen and checking what prep is required. If there are no checks on we clean in accordance with our cleaning Rota. At the end of the shift we note down the wastage, clean down to meet h&s standards and I fill out and sign the kitchen log book.
I've developed my already existing knowledge of the industry.
I have loved, my advisor has been amazing. I haven't felt pushed or rushed at any point.
The program is long but that allows for ensuring the knowledge required is there.
My head chefs and general manager have been fantastic through out. They have helped whenever I've needed it and have been really supportive.
As previously stated, my advisor has been a treasure, always there to help.
It's improved my knowledge which I have been able to apply to my job.
We have a lot of events take place that staff can get involved with. We also do craft nights on the run up to certain times of the year to make decorations etc.

I have worked at a few places but none of them invested in their staff the way marstons do. We are encouraged to do our best and rewarded when our hard work pays off.
Be your self, do your job with confidence and have a laugh. While there is a hyrachy, everyone speaks to everyone else like a friend.
