I'm currently a supervisor, which means helping team members progress and learn different ways to interact with different customers. I cash up tills at the end of my shifts and ensure all tills and safe is reconciled, I also have the responsibility of ensuring the kitchen is closed down correctly and everything is clean and in date. in a morning I'm responsible to open up the pub and make sure we are set for the day. during my shift I do the hole figure of eight.
I have learnt coshh, how to show the team positivity through customer feedback by setting up a review chart and rewards when receiving good feedback. I have also learnt what I need to improve on for my general manager which I have achieved for sarah to see I am learning different ways and better strategies
I enjoy progressing and seeing how much I have improved from start to finish. I also have enjoyed learning new and important things. I have enjoyed meeting my regional trainer and having a good bond when working with one another. its very independent which is less stress and more helpful in some ways
very well organised the fuse app helped me see where I was on the completing adder I also knew what I needed to do and what order it all needed doing in. there's set tasks that can be practical too that my trainer gave me to have complete it wasn't all at once it was well organised which meant everything would be completed.
a lot of support was received as I knew if I ever needed to ring or ask [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] something she would reply when she can and help me as much as she could, when doing my tasks if I was ever confused and needed hep [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] would be willing to go through it all again
a lot of support again if I needed to receive extra help sarah would be happy to help me or give me the best resources to make me feel confident to pass my qualifications and understand to my best ability. fuse app was there to help me revise too, good
a lot, I known different and important things to help me correct others or correct my self. I know the expectations are important to everyone and to give your best performance is key. if you show good ability and show motivation this leads to like my self progressing higher, achieving goals.
at work we work as a team inside of work and are allowed to have staff partys or trip away which is paid by the tips. for example a meal with all of us or bowling has happened before we have also won paint balling tickets at team meetings which also encourages us to interact together.
Yes
I have learnt a lot through marstons and have progressed to a high level and I am still getting pushed to progress more which is nice as shown appreciation, however sometimes you an feel alone when decisions or experiences are happening above and you don't know who to talk too which can push you away from Marston's all together.
if you are wanting a career within marstons and want to progress then this is the company o be with however if you are also needing a certain amount of hours and struggle with any less then be careful as its a 0 hour contract. make sure you are available if wanting to progress, as its frustrating to ohers
