Reactive and proactive content across Manchester Airport's social media channels, attending and reporting on live events. Maintaining the reputation of the airport from a PR perspective. Creating a content planner to be scheduled across all media channels.
Taking care in my writing, especially from a reactive perspective. I now constantly think about the effect my writing may have on customers. I've also learned to operate effectively in a fats paced office environment.
The programme overall has been excellent. The sessions at The Juice Academy and my job is exciting, and there are new challenges every day. Unfortunately, this has somewhat been let down by my apprenticeship provider, Total People, and their inability to find me a tutor. I've had 3 different tutors over the space of 3 months. I also struggle to find the time in work for on the job training or completing my work, as my job role is so fast paced.
Once again, I can't fault the organisation of The Juice Academy, or Manchester Airport, but the organisation of Total People has been nothing short of disappointing.
Support is certainly there if I request it. I do wish that I could use some of my time in the office doing some academic work for my CIM and One File account, rather than having to do it all in my own time.
My training provider, The Juice Academy, have been faultless. They're a fantastic training provider and I recommend this to anyone that is considering doing a marketing orientated apprenticeship.
I feel that although my training provider has been brilliant, my fellow cohort do not share the same ambition and are immature when it comes to the fortnightly sessions. This makes it harder to learn and study.
There are not any extra curricular activities to get involved in as such, but I do attend events, such as airline inaugurals and awards celebrations, which is always a great way to network.
Yes
It's perfect for people with an interest in aviation, and enjoy content creation, such as myself. No day is the same, and getting involved in key events within the airport is both rewarding and exciting. I've settled in to office life well, and work within a fantastic and hardworking team.
Have a genuine interest in aviation, demonstrate your competence in writing. Show enthusiasm and a desire to progress. Don't be afraid to 'show off' your portfolio. Above all else, smile!
