It involved group exercises and working with my supervisor. They set me tasks to do such as creating drafts and research. They also gave me very good advice to help me in the future and also reviewed my Cv with me. In addition there was presentations about different sectors of law which was useful.
I learnt alot from my work experience such as office ettiquette, time managemet as i had to get here on time but also complete tasks within a time frame. I also developed transferrable skills such using my initiative, clear communication and working in a team. This will help me in the future.
I enjoyed my work experience a loy. It has provided me with a clear insight of life as a lawyer would be and what day to day life would consist of. I also enjoyed being able to speak to various solicitors in different departments. I also enjoyed the free food!
The organisation in the firm was at a very high standard, all required people were very good at being on time and prepared adequately. I was provided with all the necessary equiptment to complete work and also with lunch which was very good. Organisation was amazing, I have no complaints.
I learnt alot about the company culture as I got to visit the different departments such CAD, coporate whereby I got a sense of what the job entails. This was very important as it helped me see what I would like and would not like if I was to work here
It had helped me decide as I could see my interests and non interests which is very important in deciding aswell this it helped me see the journey into becoming a lawyer along with all the skills needed to be a lawyer which is very important in my decison making.
No i was not paid or reimbursed, there was no salary i was given for it or money back given. However i am sure there was an option to get money back for travel exspenses but i did not return the form in order to get it. That did not bother me though, it was worth it all.
Yes there was plenty of oppurtunities for networking whereby now I have had made new friends who are on the programme too. I also met other employees and wrote down all their names, alot of them have helped me so much and took care of me which I am very grateful for
Yes

I would definitely say be prepared, organised and communicate lot. Always ask alot of questions because ultimately that is what the supervisors are there for, make use of your time efficiently - absorb everythung you can! Another tip I would give is to wrote down the names of anyone you meet.
