I have to deal with first point of contact when customers ring through. So we deal with all the enquiries as if we cannot help we would put them through to the correct team. We would always try to help them at first point of contact to help make their experience better.
Yes working at RBS has increased my confidence massively. I have also learnt many team building skills and skills to increase my confidence when speaking to new people as we do that on a daily basis when speaking to customers over the phone. I have also learnt how you have to speak to customers with courtesy and remain calm with difficult customers.
My apprenticeship program is really good and we have the support we need. I am only at the start of my program but so far everything has been good. I know that sometimes learning can be a bit repetitive but BPP try to change it so that is not the case.
My programme is very well structured as we are given our 'off the job' time we need to complete any work we are given by BPP and whenever i have been stuck or have needed help my BPP coach has been there to help as well as my manager and colleagues who are also doing the apprenticeship.
As i mentioned above i receive lots of support from my employer for example my manager will always help me or if he cannot answer a question he will go away and ask someone who does know. Also we get given allocated time to do any work we have been set.
I am only at the very start of my apprenticeship program but so far i have been given any support that i have asked for and where i have had issues with completing any forms or logging in, they have always sorted that out for me, whether it be over the phone or in a room face to face
I am only at the start of my program so i cannot really see a massive difference just yet, but from the learning activities i have completed so far i feel that in the near future it will help the way that i interact with customers for the better and make me a better advisor as there are lots of development skills in the program.
Yes so once every year as a team we choose 1 day where we will go out and do some community work to help the community, and we can also choose what we want to do. As well as that we always have charity days at work where we dress down and give money towards charity.
Yes
RBS is a great place to work and there are lots of possibilities to move ahead in your career and achieve whatever you want. RBS is like a stepping stone to help you accomplish your goals. Also with RBS it is very open to new ideas and all your suggestions are considered.
Just be yourself no one will judge you at RBS, if you feel uncomfortable at all or dont like the way someone spoke to you we have a service in which you can speak up about it and it will remain anonymous. If you get the chance to do the video interview dont put it off like i did because you will regret in the future.
