Liaising with subcontractors in regards to contract and payment disputes. Finalising orders with agreed contract sums & scopes of work. Forecasting final accounts with any upcoming costs & negotiating deals that are beneficial for all parties.
Yes, communication, team work, problem solving & the ability to work under pressure. Working to tight deadlines has allowed me to develop my time management and efficiency in closing out tasks.
I enjoy all aspects of the programme, as I am challenged with new tasks daily. This means I am tasked with using my initiative to solve problems, which is rewarding once the issue has been resolved.
Very well, I know what has to be done within given time frames as the programme is well structured.
I believe Engie offer a good support system, as help and advice is always available upon request. My line manager is always at hand if I have any queries, however you are encouraged to complete tasks independently where possible, which is the most effective way of learning.
I've not had much interaction with the training provider, as there has been no apparent issues to date.
The modules within the first two years at university were very basic and not specific to my job role, however this is standard. Within the next 3 years of my degree apprenticeship the modules will be come more specialized and tailored towards quantity surveying which I am looking forward to.
Yes, we complete annual volunteering days to engage with the local community & social events are organised to help network and hear other about other people's experiences.
