my day to day includes seeing if any meetings needs to be booked in. any documents need updating and sent to the project team. researching possible new ideas to be added to the roadmap. Taking notes and minutes in project meetings. Making sure everyone is in the right place always
yes I have learnt lots and lots of new skills. this includes PowerPoint presentation skills, excel skills, how to book in meetings. I have also improved existing skills, this includes communication skills and also my confidence has greatly increased. If I need to find out new information I simply book in time with someone and they can help me out. I'm not afraid to ask for help.
I'm still very new to my programme, I'm loving the day to day of my role and being with my team. I have not been given any apprenticeship work so yet to see what that is like but I'm sure it will be absolutely fine and I'm surrounded by support.
I started early on my department so I did not get my induction until my 6th week. however it was helpful and we have another session booked in soon. ive just got my mentor so the programme is definitely moving forward and becoming more organised. I feel this was just because people started at different times.
I receive so much support. I've never worked for a company which offers so much support. my manager is great and my mentor is really keen to help me. everyone around me is happy to help which makes me feel so confidant and not be shy when I don't understand something.
I feel its too soon to say. there has been discussions about what I can do if I don't understand something. there is sessions booked in to catch up and to check on any issues or concerns I may have. I do really feel supported. im pleased to have the support there.
because it gives me structure and confidence. it helps me know that I'm learning as I go and learning more general business of business admin instead of department specific. I can apply new and improved skills everywhere. I know that if theres any questions I can just ask my training provider.
there is staff association which includes quizzes and things like that. there's no sport teams but there is a gym in another building. I would like there to be a sports team or even a gym at head office. there's staff discounts on theatre tickets and discounts elsewhere that are good, but not loads of extra curricular.
Yes
because all the people all over the business even the CEO are just so supportive and caring about development and helping. no one looks down on you for asking questions. you can simply book in a meeting and get all your questions answered. its great, I am really happy here.
don't be afraid to ask for help, put yourself out there. try new things, be opened minded to go in other departments and gain experience and a wider perspective of how the business works. Go in to branch, understand the new product process, just don't be afraid, the opportunities are endless.
