As a supervisor at Marston's, i have many job roles including, line checks, ordering and accounting for deliveries, customer contact, serving tables, cashing up at the end of the night (tills and safe), shift and staff management and other forms of management such as opening and closing the business.
Since starting my job at Marston's, i have acquired many new and valuable skills such as better ways to deal with customers and their parties. i have very much improved on my time management skills and also the ability to not only manage but lead teams from 2 people upwards
I have very much enjoyed being apart of the course and being able to use and apply all my own knowledge as well as what the course has taught me to my day to day shifts making the running of the business easier and more manageable for myself and the team.
My programme is run very well and organised in a way that is easy to follow with clear instructions for the next step i need to take to make sure that i am hitting my targets and furthering my position within the course aswell as my position within the business
My employer is always giving me the time needed to explore my own capabilities within a management role and is frequently able to answer any and all questions i have in regards to leading techniques, amongst other queries i have regarding my course and is more than happy to show me the best way to put them into action.
My training provider is fantastic at always being on hand to help and support me through my qualification with in depth responses to e-mail questions and an ability to help me understand my own abilities when asking questions and helping me to provide answers that showcase what i have learned.
Since starting the course i have felt my own abilities grow and grow and know myself that it has helped me to become a much better manager within the business as well as feedback from colleagues. i feel it has been a massive help in me progressing further in my career within the trade
Unfortunately there are no current extra - curricular activities at this venue however there are talks in place about starting a few up including darts, pool and such. We do have alot of community events that take place that are always allowing staff to participate alongside their working hours such as the church

Marstons as a company have been very good in helping me deal with personal issues to do with social situations and have also been incredibly supportive of my want to progress and have helped at every opportunity, including training days and the apprenticeship itself. I would definitely recommend Marstons to a friend.
