I take inbound customer calls, complete customer service queries with customers and also sell products and services whilst explaining the benefits of the products to the customers. I also handle complaints and assist Management in stepping up to cover manager absence to build team performance and also run team meetings.
I have learnt a lot more about the different types of customers. I have also gained knowledge into gaining and retaining customers, the different way businesses interact with their customers and the way this impacts both the business and also the customers. I have also used the experience to gain further knowledge into different departments and how they work.
I am enjoying the program and the time that the company gives me is invaluable. I am really enjoying the ability to apply the knowledge I have picked up from the learning materials to interactions with both customers and colleagues alike. It is also very positive to find out what I already know (and didn't realise that i did!)
The program is very well structured. I have access to an online portal which sets out the tasks I need to complete between visits. I can see my progress as a percentage for each topic and how this is feeding in to the program as a whole which is really encouraging.
My employer is very supportive, both with allowing the time to complete the tasks in my working week, but also checking with me that things are going well. The support I get from my Manager (mentor) is also very encouraging as he wants me to succeed also and is always happy to make time to discuss the apprenticeship.
The training provider has a vast database of information on the online portal and this is very easy to access. Additionally on the first visit I was provided with a telephone number for the regional trainer as well as his email address so I could contact him if I had any concerns.
The qualification will show that I know knowledge relevant to my role, this will provide certification which I can then apply to my CV. It also has given me the opportunity to interact with other departments which outside of the apprenticeship I would not normally get a chance to do.
Yes. There is a variety of social events which are held throughout the year, also we get the opportunity to go to Forums with other departments, support departments and also we get to speak to the senior management team to feed back concerns that we witness on a day to day basis.
