We worked for approximately two weeks working amongst other real accountants, gaining valuable knowledge and experience whilst taking part in groups doing real woke and being judged my professionals in the accounting and finance industry. This then progressed to a presentation inform of professionals using our communication skills to sell a product.
Whilst taking part in the Ernst Young smart Futures program I gained a range of valuable skills. Firstly was my communication, when I started the program I was very quiet and didn't talk too much but as I get through I became much more confident. Another skill would be my time management as we had a range of strict deadlines we had to meet as though we work working in the real world.
There were many things I enjoyed when working on the Ernst Young Smart Futures Program. Firstly was the meeting new people with similar interests and goals in life and being able to work along side them. Secondly I would same the real workplace experience that has allowed me to progress and get a part time job along side college.
The Ernst Young Smart Futures Program was very well organised with a range of staff always being on time and prepare for our group, not once being late. Food and drink was also organised which allow the students to not have to travel far and worry about getting back on time
The Ernst Young Smart Futures Program allowed us to learn absolytley loads about the company and what it would be like to really work there. This was done trough undertaking real challenged and working amongst real professionals in the industry putting us really in the correct state of mind to see what it would be like to work there.
The Ernst Young Smart Futures Program helped me alot when it came to deciding what I wanted to do as a career. As the experience allowed me to have a mentor post the program she worked along side me to help me decide what I want to go on and do at university.
The Ernst Young Smart Futures Program did not cost any money to take place in and was paid work experience which was a great way to make the students more engaged. During the program food cards were also paid for there fore we didn't have to travel far for food.
The Ernst Young Smart Futures Program allowed us to meeting a range of people having an expertise in a range of departments, this allowing us to talk and discuss with these to gain valuable knowledge with a range of proffesionals who fully know what they are talking about and will give you a valuable insight to the world of work
Yes
The Ernst Young Smart Futures Program was a great way to make a range of freinds with similar interest to you, a great way to see what it is like working in the fininace and real world also giving you a range of skills that are needed to work in the real world.
Go in with an open mind, as I didn't want a career in finance it allowed me to gain so many skills that absolutley any job will want you to have. I would also say to not be shy and ask as many question as you can because it's an opportunity you do not want to pass up.
