Internal Sales Executive Review

At Tech Data we have been given a general ISE role. This involves manning the phones, taking inbound calls and dealing with any issues our customer may have, and also being more proactive and making outbound calls to our customers. We have also had lots of off the job training which has helped incredibly with day-to-day work

During my time at Tech Data I have learnt lots of new skills and also developed existing ones. These skills involve, communication, problem solving, contact management, logical and creative thinking skills, being able to work indepenedently and also as a team. The main skill I have learnt is being able to remain professional when on the phone to a customer

I have really been enjoying my programme so far, this is because that I have actually been having fun when i am at work. I trhink that this is a rare thing to find when working. I have also been surprised by the fact that my team is also very kind

I believe that considering this was the first apprentice course that techdata has run, it has been very well organised. When we first arrived the induction into the business was very smooth and everyone was very welcoming, and then the training and support we have received since has been very good

So far, I have received a lot of support from my employer. The manager I have is very kind and always make sure everyone in the team is ok and up to date with their work. The HR team is also very approachable which makes everything in the company run a little smoother

So far i have received lots of support from our training provider. We have monthly visits and even more regular contact. Although it started a little rocky, since our new tutor came in it has flowed a lot smoother than previously. I have been impressed with how much support they have offered

I feel that all the training I have received has has helped me massively to perfom better. We have had multiple training companies come into the company in order to help us to get a better understanding of the role and everything that we can do in order to perform better

There is lots to do at work that is not work. Firstly, there is a rec room which has a fusball table and a pool table which is really good for breaks and lunch to wind down and relax a little. There is also clubs which you can sign up for which have extra opportunities for other activities outside of work

It has been a very good place to work. There is a great family feel to the place. Everyone is extremely friendly, and willing to help with anything if you are stuck. Although the first day was daunting, once I arrived I was calmed due to everyone who works here

Do it. During the interview process, do not overthink everything as they are looking fro genuine people. The assessment days are actually quite fun and allow you to discover things about yourself. Also there is many opportunities to take up through work, for instance we had an outward bound course hwich wwas really fun.
