The Apprenticeship that Tech Data provided has been an eye opening experience to the IT distribution industry, It has provided valuable training in order to help boost my career in sales and experiences that a non apprenticeship role could not compete with. My role consists of account managing certain accounts - making sure I am giving them the great tech data experience .
I have learnt a lot of new communication skills - we did this through a new training scheme called natural training - this scheme helped break every bit communicating with a customer and allowed me to have a different insight into the way I speak to them, I also have learned a lot about technology - the apprenticeship has given me realms of product knowledge thanks to great training sessions
I have really enjoyed the program . Everyone who works at tech data has made me feel welcome and apart of a big team. The outward bound course was a great experience as well - Not many people, have the chance to go and do team building activities in the lake district as part of their work.
The programme was very well structured, Even though the role is very busy the management have thought of a great scheme that allows me to do my day job but also have time to do my apprenticeship work on the side. The structure to the first few months was also sensational because of the amount of training we have had.
I have never felt like I have never had any support working for tech data, everyone is always happy to help when I have a question . The company is also very flexible with allowing me to work on my apprenticeship work which is always a nice thing to know seeing as they day job can get on top of things sometimes
There is alot of training that we get given from Gk apprenticeships that we have to complete for our apprenticeship - this means that we do not get sucked into our day job and always have things to do. The training that Gk have provided have allowed me to expand my knowledge in things that cant be learnt on the job.
I feel as though the qualifications I am getting through this apprenticeship is giving me invaluable training and experiences which is allowing me to perform better in my role compared to those who have not had the training. The training has allowed my confidence to also increase sue to lots of presentation tasks.
There are lots of opportunity for extra curricular activities at tech data , there is a lot of clubs that can be joined for an opportunity to meet new people with similar interests as you , Tech data also supports peoples personal charity - and allows for charity days to be run in order to raise money for them
Yes
The amount of experience I have obtained from this company has been amazing, I feel as though anyone working in the IT industry should also be given a chance to do course like this - this is because it'll help them boost their career further than someone who has not done the course
Be yourself - Tech data strives to look for good personality, it is also good to research a bit about the company before you apply as this shows the employer that you have taken your personal time to research about the company - also shows that you care about getting this role
