Each day its always a little different as I'm on the sales floor. The main thing that I do that doesn't change however is calling out and taking incoming calls. However what differs between days is things like Call out days which is days that vendors do and pay for prices all you have to do is what they ask at the beginning of the day. We also do a lot of training as we have so many Vendors to learn about.
I have found that when working I have massively changed my way I approach a task and my thinking behind something. Having this job has also meant that I have improved my communication skills as I'm always talking to customers and needing to make sure I say the right things which has really benefitted me.
I really have enjoyed what I've learnt from working at Tech data and have really felt like I've found my a bit more which has benefitted me massively. The program isn't very boring which is always a good thing and most of the time there is loads of work to do.
Our program is well planned and has been a really enjoyable experience so far. There has been a lot of hard things that I have to overcome. There has been a few times when timings have been a bit off but overall most of the training sessions has been planned well and all the other things they're been doing.
We receive a lot of help and guidance from our apprenticeship manager which is really helpful and means we do the right things and if not then we know what we need to do to improve quickly meaning we advance faster. As we always have a manager on hand it makes it really easy to get things answered quickly and allows you to have peace of mind.
We receive a lot to be fair, everyone in the business seems to want to help and we always get loads of really good training sessions from people across the business. We also get given hundreds of opportunities which Is great as it can massively advance out knowledge and even give us accreditations.
It really does help me with my qualification as when I learn products better which means I can have better conversations with my customers and so have more to talk about at the end of my apprenticeship. We are always being made to improve our self and it really does show in all of us.
There is always loads of activities to get involved in which is why this place is great to work at, people also set up there own 5 aside football team which again is good as it shows that there is good relationships within the business. Tech data is a great place to work.
Yes
Its a very good place to work, the people are nice, a lot of training but the best thing in my opinion Is that the opportunity that is given to all tech data employees and means that anyone can advance massively as an individual and can benefit massively for just working here.
Make sure you are nice and can make conversation as this will help in a interview and within the workplace. Make sure you do y0our research about the company as talking point are very important and so I you can have a technical talk already before even getting the good this will make you stand out from the rest.
