Working as a trainee tax accountant, where I am supporting my team in delivering automatic exchange of information services, qualified intermediary services, EU reclaim services, tax compliance, tax risk and tax governance services to clients in the financial services industry. Support with the leg work on projects and involved in client delivery.
You have to be able to work in a team so team working with people of all ages and backgrounds in a productive way is a new skill I have learnt. In turn applying this communicative collaborative way of working when working with varying client teams is a great skill I have developed.
The programme has been very enjoyable as it allows you to progress and grow allowing you time to acclimatise to the working environment and really push on once you get a hang of the work. Further to this, it is great to be a part of such a large year group.
The structure is set out to facilitate consistent improvement and growth throughout the programme, for example with the regular check ins, detailed goals and targets to be hitting in our pathways and regular catch up meetings one on one with our tutors and coaches and managers helps keep us developing.
My employer gives all the support i could possible expect or want, and more. Not only do you have the attention of the backroom staff departments such as HR, IT and Finance, you also have your immediate team, colleagues, managers, directors, partners who are always on hand to assist you.

There are constant networking activities and drinks and day time activities, team building, away days, and further there are many group and social activities to get involved in, personally i have been involved with some extra curricular badminton and football as well cultural events such as religious festival celebrations like Diwali.
