I really enjoy the program it allows for me to explore 4 different areas of the business whilst getting a degree. The biggest enjoyment of my program is the fact that I have been given responsibility from day 1 and have been used as a valuable team member. I also enjoy the opportunity to have my ideas listen to about how to improve the program in the future!
My Program is still fairly new and new to TUI so they are in the process of ironing out any issues along the way. However as a 'think to the future' type of guy I am always looking to what's happening next and TUI may not have the answers but are keen to find out and develop. As an apprentice most of the program is still in the dark and a lot of things are still yet to be confirmed however, the overall structure/framework of the course has been explained.
I receive endless support! As someone straight out of sixth-form I have been given a lot of support since the program has developed and TUI are keen to listen when we feel that we are not supported and rectify the issue. I still believe it would be good to have a mentor and I hope this could be implemented in the future.
I receive a lot of support from TUI however, I do feel that the University of Hertfordshire is a little slack on providing support with advice and feedback being given if underachieving and not necessarily if you want to improve to reach the top grades. I hope this will be sorted as the years progress
My overall business knowledge is improving as all assignments I complete have been aimed around TUI. This allows me to further develop my knowledge of the customer and business and therefore help bring an outsiders point of view to my role and my team. Further to this I am also developing the key skills needed by a future manager.
Not many - there are running clubs and singing. If more clubs could be arranged this is something that I would be keen to sign up to. As a young professional who has moved from home to do this apprenticeship it would be nice to have a hobby and also meet new people from around the business
Yes
Such a great company that rewards its staff well. I am entitled to the same reward benefits as other employees in the same band. Further to this what I have experienced in the last 8 months of going abroad for a conference and being lucky enough to win a skiing trip has definitely made me understand the great work TUI is doing in developing and looking after its people.
Work hard and apply even if its not the job you want to do in the future. There are so many transferable skills learnt in each role and there is plenty of opportunity to progress within the business if you are good at what you do. Keep an open mind and enjoy!
