  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I thoroughly enjoy the programme and I am exited to see what departments i work in over the next 4 years. There are so many areas of the business I could work in and being able to get the experience of some of those in the next 4 years, is a perfect way to start my professional career.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure of the programme is extremely effective and the longer the programme runs the more efficient this will becomes. We get to work in both a successful corporate environment as we all being able to spend a full week at university (roughly every 5 weeks), where we have an intensive but enjoyable learning environment.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The first month we revived a lot of support, but the following 2 months, we did not seem to gain any further support. Until January of the new year, where support was given in abundance with a new apprenticeship coordinator. This is a given with any apprenticeship scheme and the success of other TUI apprenticeships has really helped shape the new level of support we give.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The support we have is constantly available, whether it's through, your own line manager, through the wide range at university and there is even lots of support in the workplace. The amount of support you take is down to an individual and it's really good to see you can get as much as you need.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification really helps me within my role, as a lot of the work we do at the university can be linked to the workplace environment. Not only is this linked to TUI but we also develop lots of skills at the university that can be adapted to any role we do.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There is a great work life balance at TUI and there are lots of extra-curricular groups that have sessions at either lunch time or specific learning times throughout the week. Whats also great is that multiple times a year we have learning weeks, this is where companies come into TUI and give us different insights into either travel and tourism or the greater business world.

  • 9a. Would you recommend TUI UK & Ireland to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • TUI is by far the best business I have ever worked for. How many people can say they work for a company who provide one of lifes greatest thing... holidays. Its a very open and friendly company with an injection of corporate business. If only every company had a wide range of opportunities as we do.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to TUI UK & Ireland?
  • If you want a company that has a friendly ethos as well as a strong drive to succeed then TUI is the perfect company for you. It's a holidays company, so they look for people who have a great personality and people who want to makes others happy. Don't be afraid to try something different and I'm sure everyone wants to catch the holiday bug (the love of working in travel)
