  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many new skills. Especially communication and working as part of a team. Most of all my confidence has drastically improved from being exposed to communicating to a range of people. My family and friends have noticed the good this job has done for me. I am a more confident person.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy the programme and all the opportunities it has given me. I have learnt a lot and feel its a great opportunity. It can be demanding at times and isn't for the faint hearted. You have to be prepared to give your all for this job but the benefits and rewards pay it off.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Our programme is fairly good at being organised and the structure. There are elements of improvements to be made but the programme is fairly new so the team are learning as the years go by and overcome new issues. There are lots of organised events and useful emails that go out.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support. We have a massive support network but also a central performance manager that helps us with our programme and needs. Anyone that doesn't know the answer always refers you to someone else that does. The teams we work with are all really friendly.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We receive a reasonable amount of support by getting study leave for our exams. I believe sometimes our work load can be too much at the times of our exams which may be something that needs to be made aware of but overall it is good. The study days are really usueful, especially if you can get them in the days before the exam.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification gives me an excellent amount of skills and knowledge to complete my role effectively. We learn lots of real life scenarios in our qualifications which I come across on a daily basis in my role. It is also great applying what ive learnt from my role to my qualification.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are lots of social events to get involved with. Depends on the office. I believe the larger offices like London will have a lot more than the smaller regional offices but there's always opportunities out there. Always charity events going on which is a great time to get together.

  • 9a. Would you recommend KPMG to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Its a great apprenticeship with amazing opportunities, benefits and the pay is excellent compared to a lot of apprenticeships. The support is amazing and the qualification is one of the best you can get which is all provided by KPMG. Its great working for a company that you can be proud of, that people are impressed when you say "I work for KPMG"

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG?
  • Stay relaxed and calm and be yourself. The job will chose you if you are suited to it. The managers need to see the real you to know the job suits you. If you are successful, be prepared to give your all. The first few months can be intense until you get into the swing and find a routine.i
