  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my programme! There are lost of ways to learn new things and gain new experiences e.g. the learning academy is helpful to improve certain skills or knowledge on a different part of the company. Also, they make sure that you pay attention to your personal life as that affects our attitude at work/school.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Pretty well organised, since this is the 1st or 2nd year this programme is running there are still some improvements to make but in the most part it is good. The programme itself and its structure are easy to understand and you get a range of experience from working in different departments.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I get a lot of support form KPMG. My performance and line manager in particular are very supportive of my development and growth in the company. If I have any questions or problems with work/uni, I have people I can speak to confidently and I know my voice will be heard. For instance, we have apprentice voice which is a programme for KPMG to listen to apprentices feedback.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I get good support from the training provider BPP, but there are still ways to improve the communication between apprentices and BPP. We are able to voice our opinions on what they can do to improve in our end of topic conversations and forum chats which is helpful. Overall, not bad but not great.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification helps me perform better in my role as I have deeper insight into the lifecycle of creating and managing learning platforms for clients. It helps me know the bigger picture in terms of how to learn and work at the same time and how to use feedback to consciously reflect on my quality of work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are many professional network events e.g. KPMG KNOW, Be Mindful etc. These help niche groups and minorities to come together and share their experience. Furthermore, there are sports like the rowing club and also sports events that take place in the summer. Every few months teams go on social events e.g. bowling which is fun and helps build bonds between colleagues.
