  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy the programme i enrolled in, i enjoyed each mission i completed and the task that is came with. I also enjoyed meeting other apprentices from other branched getting to talk to them and see how they were finding the course. I also attended an apprentice fair, where business areas within natwest explained what they do on a day to day basis, this was a good way to find out what other jobs were available within the insutry.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I think to start with I didn’t know what to expect with the apprentiship, as with the branch i joined i was the first member of staff to do the apprenticeship. It was hard to start with as the computer are restricted with what websites and links you can go on, which meant most of the apprentiship documents were blocked. However i started uses my own laptop and iPad and it was fine. (Bpp did offer a laptop for me to have in branch).

If i every wanted another phone call if I wasn’t understanding something she would organise it and offer support at any time.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think by carrying out the apprentiship i has allowed me to gain a better understanding about certain areas within banking that i wouldnt of other wise known, especially mortgage related questions. I also think by gaining a better understanding of the banking industry make certain processes expire to email in to customers.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes i went to a professional networking event within the business office in Guildford. Here i met other apprentices within different areas within the bank. There were stools set up explaining about what they do, where they are based, what they get involved in. I thought this was really good as it gives you an insight of all different areas within the banking industry.
