It requires me, to take calls on a day to day basis, and serving mostly business customers, and sometimes personal customers, for anything from, making payments, issues with charges, if they acquire loan or a new lending product, and many more enquiries, we have to make sure that we direct customers to the right department.
I have developed my confidence in taking calls, and dealing with quite difficult conversations and requests. being able to speak to larger amounts of people. I have improved on being able to work in a team, taking on feedback and improving on personal development as well as understanding more about the business because of the apprenticeship.
I enjoy it, in the basis, that I get to learn, and improve from someone that knows about the business pretty well. being able to have one coach that stays with me throughout the journey, that I can talk to helps and makes things manageable for me. the changes makes thing fun, the coach helps me improve my knowledge and understanding how the business works
at the beginning it took a long time to get organised and started, I did not get the chance to start the program straight away, I had to wait a couple of months, however after everything was consistent and organised, knowing what to expect and when to expect it, such as my coachings, and deadlines and what will happen next
I receive a lot of support, from NATWEST and the apprenticeship. I am struggling with mental health, and get adjustments and time off when things affect me pretty badly. talk about any problems I have with specific things at work, I have had recently my risk assessment done to understand what more they can do to help me
I can email or contact from my coach all the time, I also get extra support from their safeguarding team, where I get regular counselling, on a weekly basis, if my personal health affects me then, they will push the deadline to make things manageable for me, therefore really understanding and feel I can speak up
it gives me a better understanding about the overall role that I am carrying out at the moment and any future roles as well. for this current role, it helps me understand how factors can impact business and what I do, how it can impact and what I can do to improve it
there are networking events, social activities, when there are colleague's birthday, charity events that I like to participate in regular they are trying to increase events as they come along,. whether it is religious or world cup or giving food round to the centre. and nearly everyday orginisations from outside come to NatWest to offer great opportunities for us.
Yes
the people here are lovely, very kind and caring, always feel like you are not alone and have a team to help you. the support and understanding is fantastic, would not be able to get this in a lot of organisations. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] who is my deputy has been fantastic towards the team, and me, and he's fantastic!
There are a lot of pressure, and it is okay to feel that you can not do it at the start, but it does get better, it does get easier, and how much you learn is great. keep working hard, don't stay quiet, speak up, talk to colleagues, and any medical conditions, inform your manager!
