I am a resource and planning analyst. I analyse data for the business, schedule agents holiday, lunches etc. I make sure that the business sticks to the margins. Scheduling and resourcing. Real time adherence. using workforce management. attending meetings. dealing with projects to help the business succeed. communicate with mangers on a daily basis.
I have learnt new skills through the job that I have been with my apprenticeship for but I have not learnt a huge amount through the college itself. in my job I have learn how to use excel confidently, PowerPoint and also using access. I have also learnt the different systems that are needed for the role
I felt like that I didn't enjoy the programme. very stressful juggling a work lifestyle and a lot of coursework. I also felt that my assessor didn't communicate with me and didn't keep me in the loop. I was constantly chasing her with no responses. i didn't like that there was no structure.
I felt like there wasn't a great amount of structure. I had different deadlines that weren't chased properly. The exams were very poor quality with a lot of system faults. I had to chase my assessor all the time. I also didn't meet my assessor which I thought was odd. I couldn't tell you what she looked like.
had a lot of support from RBS themselves allocating me time to complete coursework. my manager was supportive along with my managers manger. I also had support from my team if I had any questions around my coursework or if I needed them to help improve my coursework. RBS kept me in the loop with any changes.
Very little. I am very disappointed with the lack of support I received from the training providers and the college and locations when visiting for my exams. The lady's in the exams were very rude and not understanding that you were actually doing a qualification. I felt like that couldn't be bothered.
Very little. I feel like that I haven't used anything that I have learnt in my job role. I learnt my job before I gained my qualifications yet I was getting paid less but doing the same as my team members. I feel like there could of been more indept subjects through my qualifications.
I went on some team building days on my team. I also networked with the other people that was doing the qualification. i also went on a few nights out. i have gained some really good friends through my role and have been to a few events with my team.
