I currently work in the Talent Coordination team which deals with a number of different stages in the candidate application process, including: Video Interviews, Phone Interviews, Assessment Days, Team Leader Interviews and Manager Interviews. I help coordinate and help run some of these along with a team of really talented individuals! I help to constantly develop and look at new and better ways to ensure that the candidate has the best experience and best chance of success!
I had the opportunity to work with the Global Talent Head on a project with the aim to improve our response rates for candidate feedback. I had to look at new and different ways we can receive feedback and track trends to ensure we don't make the same mistakes.
I had opportunities to work with people from different countries and move around a lot within Recruitment. I now have an insight into different business areas which I wouldn't necessarily have been exposed to. This helped me decide what area in the business is best fit for me and develop the skills necessary for the role.
I spend two days every month in training. The rest of the time is on the job learning and regular calls with our Tutor. I have access to an online platform which gives me access to all the modules I need to learn before our final major project. We receive ongoing feedback from our training provider.
We all have a mentor and connector who supports us, in addition to our manager and team. The mentor is available to talk at any time and helps introduce us to new people. The team are always there to help with anything you are not familiar with or need to learn.

We have networking events quite often and anyone is able to sign up and attend. We also have volunteering opportunities which are supported by Bloomberg who match hours volunteered with a donation of up to $5000 to a charity of your choice. This is a great opportunity to meet people from different departments.

It truly is a great company to work for, with its flexibility to learn so much and great culture. We have so many opportunities to grow and develop here. If you are willing to work hard and are hungry to grow and develop, Bloomberg is 100% the place to be!
Show your willingness to work hard and learn. It is important to have good relationships with not only your team but every employee within the space. Try as hard as you can to take initiative in handling new tasks where possible as while nothing is given on a plate, if you can impress then your age isn't taken into account and you can be in roles (including leadership) ahead of many people who are older and more experienced.
