  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My daily tasks include posting the banks for the old sites that have centralised and keeping them up to date. I also pay customers and suppliers whilst checking the paperwork is correct and matches our guidelines. I also check the bank for incoming and outgoing payments whilst keeping track of direct debits.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Every single day I learn something new or develop something existing. I learn how to communicate with various people in various ways, from composing emails, to telephone calls, to webchats. I also develop existing skills such as time keeping and prioritising various tasks to keep on top of my work load

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my course, I find it very helpful and formal, I learn a lot each time I study and the help is always available as and when I need it. I enjoy the fact I can learn as and when it suits me so I can work it around my personal life.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It does get very confusing at times, and it does take a few days to resolve the rising issue as we don’t have instant communication. They are always very helpful and do they’re very best to resolve the situation. They are always very polite and always check up to see how you are getting on.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We receive a lot of support, we get dedicated time each week to study independently and ask questions if we needed any extra help. My employer and my team members around me are always there to answer my questions no matter how big small or silly I think that they are.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We have regular check ups via telephone, email and face to face meetings. I can request a meeting at any time to review my progress and set goals in place to help me get that little bit closer to my end goal. They are always there to provide me with support.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I perform better through knowing the different terminology and the way things work. Not just knowing how to do something, but how it works and why it works the way it works provides me with all the knowledge to confidently complete a task to my full potential and more within my work

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • They have a running group every Tuesday, and we frequently have ‘work nights out’ where we will all meet up in a chosen location outside of work hours to socialise. We often do charity events where people participate and other will go and watch, I.e foot ball matches and walking

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • A very good company to work for, very willing to accomodate you and try to use your best skills to the best of your ability. They are always pushing you to succeed as they only ever want to push you to the best of your ability. They are always good for more than just being an employer.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pendragon?
  • Always keep an open mind, and be willing to try new things. Always work hard, be dedicated and show willingness. Not everything is easy and not everything is straight forward but being able to keep a straight head and concentrate are the aspects that are most favourable from the company
