My roles involves supporting the entire business. I carry out and complete tasks that basically keep the business functions. For example I can conduct things like expenses to travel arrangements so that people within my business are able to go out and see the clients that they are conducting work for. I allow them to go and get the revenue from the client.
I have learnt a wide range of skills and further developed many just by being a part of this apprenticeship. It has taught me very valuable skills like time management in a quite fast paced environment and how I go about prioritising the work I have so that it is all completed correctly and on time.
I enjoy the programme a great deal, I work with a bunch of really awesome people that are supportive and friendly. As well as learn and study with great and like minded people to which we learn together and develop a bond. It's full of a range of characteristics which make the programme so much more better even with all the material and work that also goes on.
The structure of the programme is well thought of but I guess in a sense that sometimes you can feel a bit swarmed with the large demand. That at times in a large business though it's all set out and planned you can almost get left out from the potential opportunities available to you, just due to demand of it.
My employer offers a range of support in order to deal and get on with the work required and the study required of you. They have several schemes put in place to which they can support you by. However that being said sometimes getting immediate or actual hands on help can be difficult and you may sometimes be given minimal face to face help.
My training provider has a lot of schemes put in place so that they are able to fully support all that are going through the course. They respond in timely fashion so that queries or concerns are monitored and responded to. They are trained in helping out on the course and understand what is needed of us and how they can help with that. Though they always check in on you as you learn, sometimes a response can feel delayed if you want immediate help.
I feel like what I learn through my training provider allows me to see what I can do to support my firm but also give me the knowledge so that I can understand exactly what I'm doing in my role. As well as the effects of those actions and why certain things are done or needed in what I do. So I believe it does help me perform though at times the tasks feel unrelated.
My work place encourages a wide range of activities which we can get involved in. They do a very good job of this, setting up committees as well as advertising to all that want to get involved. They actively encourage everyone to get involved and will want us to stay connected with who we interact with. They will look for something for you to get involved with and try their best to accommodate you.
Yes
Simply because the firm is truly their for you. They want you to look after yourself first before anything else, they understand and want to know you as a person and it shows. They are also a foothold into endless opportunities if you go out and grab them. I just believe that a firm that supports you, pays well, encourages you to do things is one people should look at, as to why I would recommend it.
To not shy away from what you're good at and to understand yourself before applying. You want to be you when you apply and you can't come off as arrogant or too shy. I'd say to be relaxed and take each step/question or task with certainty, you want what's at the end so be willing to go for it, stand out and be you.
