  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a lot of new skills as part of my development very early in the apprenticeship was to identity areas I felt I needed to develop and work on, this meant that my manager was able to arrange for this training to be carried out. I have also developed my existing skills to improve upon my skill base

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Whilst I have enjoyed the programme to a certain extent, I have also found the level of support you get can very much vary on your coach and programme provider, I started the apprenticeship not getting much support and not enjoying the programme due to this. I have the programme to be very long and sometimes I feel like I am repeating myself but I also have learnt a lot of new skills and new ways to look at things.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure of the modules has been very clear and very organised. However I am writing my synopsis now and I feel like the stage where our coaches are starting to prepare to hand us over the the board for our end point assessment it starts to become less organised

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employers have provided me a lot of support. If I have had training needs they have accommodated that. 90% of the time I have recieved my hours to complete my work and the times I didn't was times when regional managers and managers were not permanent so was not too concerning to me

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have had 2 coaches since I started my course and 2 course providers, I have found the 2nd of both of these to be a lot more supportive than the first. I get regular emails asking if I need help, she is not pushy when I have struggled with work and been very supportive in times where I have been off long term sick and was not physically able to complete any work.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It has given me different outlooks on situations. It has also provided me with a widened skill set to not only help my role but help the development of others. It has covered many different aspects within my role and has made me think about things I wouldn't have always considered in the past.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Currently there is not, as I am at a very new store so we are still building our customer base and establishing ourselves within the community. However in the future we do hope to branch out into things such as social activities In order to place ourselves firmly in the local community
