I am a deputy manager involved mainly in logistics, I oversee goods in to the RDC and ensure that they are of high quality and correct to our own receiving's. A large part of our job role is paperwork and email based as we need to make sure that everything is correct.
Since starting my job role I have taken part in many courses to improve not only my ability to deal with computer based work and paper based work but also to improve my man management and staff productivity, getting the best out of the staff is by far the most rewarding.
I enjoy being pushed and stretched to my limit and this course surely does that, I always try to keep my work and learning connected so as to improve in both areas, my tutor is always there to help me if required whether that be at the end of the phone or by email and that makes it so much better.
Everything is set up ready for you to access and is easy to use, there are many helpful tips and guides set up across all areas of the programme and easy to use functions to guide you where ever you need them and enough information on all topics provided throughout.
Due to the large quantity of products that come in to the RDC I have to prioritise my work over the programme but when possible they try to get me free time to work on my course work and do work experience towards that will benefit my work towards the programme.
I hear from my training provider quite often, usually by email but we speak often with regards about work done or work pending. We also hold master classes in work times to work on projects and to help with work that needs extra help or if we are falling behind.
I do believe that it opens up avenues of thought that would of otherwise been closed to me before, I am more confidant in my role with regards to planning future tasks, staff wellbeing and also time management. I do believe that this course will help set me up for future possibilities.
we run a charity partnership with teenage cancer trust which involves many different activities like skydiving, five a side football tournaments, fancy dress, tombola, raffles, drink and food events, sports challenges (3 peaks in 24 hours) and more socially motivated events in the stores to help get the public involved.

Aldi is great company to join due to the level of progression that is developed through large amounts of training and experience, you can also have access to all perks that come with working for the company that include discounts on various different retail companies and of course the great teams that work here.
Be on time and dressed appropriately for an interview, try and be flexible with your time as being able to work extra hours or work extra days will help a lot in the long run, always treat others with respect as this is a big part of the Aldi way.
