Daily basis involves running shifts, cash management, stock replenishment and rotation, operating checkouts and assisting customers with questions and advice. My job also is to oversee the running of the store it terms of figures involving waste, cost and available stock to the customer in all areas of the store.
I have learnt skills such as managerial skills, planning skills, I have developed my customer service skills from my previous job role and I also have learnt a lot in regards to organisational skills within office work and shopfloor management. Team working skills have also been well practiced within Aldi.
I enjoy my programme because I am learning new skills while working on the job and getting paid at the same time, which therefore gives me confidence in my everyday role that I do, I look forward to gaining my level there retail wales qualification at the end of my training.
My programme is very well structured and I know what I am partaking in every session that I have with my tutor. The organisational part of my programme is also very well managed by my tutor and the provider of my training alongside Aldi. Overall it is well organised and structured.
I receive lots of support both from my manager and management team and also in the wider organisation. They are fully behind training and development and if I need any assistance or help I only need to ask and they will help this works well together with my training provider.
I am set work and signposted to tools that will help me complete tasks. We have pink fuse that is available for the welsh qualification and also Aldi trainees. If I need any help between visits my tutor is always available and helps me to complete additional work set by them.
So far the qualification has helped me develop my customer service skills. I understand the importance of customers and how to ensure that they receive the best service. I have been able to develop within my management role by gaining leadership skills. The programme has helped me manage my time better.
