Managing a team of pickers to pick special buy products correctly and efficiently whilst working in a busy warehouse environment. creating and setting up the pick whilst also leasing with several different departments to make sure our stock levels are correct. and making sure we are hitting the on Sale dates
I am learning more about myself and how my management style effects those i work with whilst also learning how my style could change to to give me a wider ability in dealing with different types of people. i am also learning more on the literacy side as this is one of my weaker areas.
i do struggle to enjoy the homework side of the course mainly through a struggle to understand what i am required to do, when on the course with my tutor i do enjoy the 1 2 1 sessions and get a good level of interaction with my tutor which to me is important
when starting the course in November the course was very unorganized and not many staff members knew what to do the course did slightly improve when a new tutor took over but again the course fell back into the same pattern of people not knowing what was required of them
my direct leader is very supportive and gives me the time i need to spend with my tutor usually two hours a session one time a month however my department being very busy this has become a struggle for me to attend my meetings with my tutor and having to constantly rearrange my meetings
this is a mixed amount my tutor is good but i do not not what is required of me to proceed into my course further again this reflects with me not being able to keep moving forwards the support is their but i struggle to make my meeting due to the demands of my work
it has opened my eyes to different styles of leadership and how using them can actually give me a better position of understand others and how to deal with a person who may not react well to a certain way but is more receptive to another style resulting in an improved relationship
no we do not really have these areas unless it is a special event in aid of say charity but there is no extra activity or social activity to take part in through work
