pre sales tasks such as creating powerpoints and docs for customers. excel spreadsheet about global financial data partner commisions - check they are getting commisions statments partner teams commision - whether they get the correct commisions off sales deals partner uploads - from three different partners travel to dublin - to talk to our teams in the dublin office
excel skills - i do this in my job role every day finance and basic business skills - i knew nothing previously about how finance in a business worked more about the company - i only knew the sales side previously now i know a lot about Sage Pay information about terminal systems - i know the ins and outs of how a terminal works
my current programme i enjoy due to a good class, a good amount of work to do and a good tutor. My previous sales apprenticeship with sage before this was terrible and led to a lot of work troubles due to bad guidence and teaching - this was more about the job and the tutor rather then the actual course itself
my current programme is very well organised thanks to our tutor [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]. she makes sure we have all our deadline printed and in our work caldeners, does constant check up with us to make sure we are okay. I get regualar study every week to get my coursework done - this is helpful for deadlines
alot of support from my two managers when dealing with my coursework - my manager has made sure i can hit all my deadlines and allows me to have time during work to get coursework done - he is fine with me going through to college during week days and always asks how it is
my training tutor could not be better. she always makes sure we are okay and does constant check ups to make sure we are up to date, and if not helps us to think of ways to get up to date - we have access to her help whenever we need it and she makes us feel comfortable doing so
to be honest other then slight excel skills i dont think the qualification has much to do with my role. it may help in the future but so far i already knew how to implement a lot of the skills i am learning. im hoping since im only part through the course i will learn more as the time comes
we have volunteer days, christmas and summer parties. volunteer days we have 5 each a year to use, this gives us time to leave sage or stay in sage to help a charity of our choice, we get paid for this as we would a normal day at work - we have to use all 5
Yes
in my job role now I would say yes because sage offers a lot of benefits and help towards younger members of staff - such as medical care, eye care and ear care. they also offer benefits for colleagues who do a lot of good work and give apprentices a good chance to get involved with a lot of activities
look into the job role properly, ask a lot of question at your interview and think hard about whether its for you. although i am okay in my role now previously in sales i was very down and did not do a good job which put a lot on my self esteem.
