On a day to day basis my job role includes talking to customers supporting them through phone calls on any queries and / or advise they need which is in my support boundaries for Sage 50 Cloud Payroll product. The support which is offered includes fixing any error messages, talking customers through things which they may not understand
In the duration which i have worked at sage so far i have learned soft skills with taking phone calls, how to deal with objection handling, and how to pitch sales leads. I have also learned about the Sage 50 Cloud Payroll product this is things such as nominal link, Pensions data exchange, and payroll processing
There are parts of the program which i enjoy more than others. This can be during time of the year for payroll there is a bigger queue, this means that dealing with customers can be more challenging. However learning about the payroll product has been a fun experience as coming straight from sixth form was something new for me
Sage as an organisation is well organised as they know how long employees are going to be in training. Employees after training go through a coaching stage and this is a very flexible time as people are learning at different rates and they adapt to this structure. As a whole Sage are very Organised and structured
The support which i have received from the employer was very good through a time where i was struggling personally with calls, they supported me through this by giving me personal time to talk to other staff and also reflect and learn techniques to deal with customers who are more difficult. However when getting to not reaching targets such as sales i haven't received as good support with this
Through out the qualification there is regular meetings which happen every 12 weeks, this is to review the work which has been submitted such as record of learning, however during a very busy period we did loose the time to complete work therefore assignments got backdated and took a little time to catch up with things
the qualification has allowed me to see the reasoning behind doing things such as General Data protection and why this has to be done. Also the qualification has lead me to reading things such as policies within the business, Code of conduct as through doing assignments you have to refer back to these
At sage there is a volunteer program called Sage foundation, Sage foundation is where an employee has 5 paid days of volunteer which you can pick where you want to go for the day and which day you want to do this. This can be done in places such as dog shelters, food banks and many more.
Yes
i would recommend Sage to a friend as they are a good employer as they give support when it is needed, they give you volunteer days and also give you the training required to boost you when you are at sage. they also let us as apprentices to move around the business more and experience more
when applying to sage you should act your self and speak up for your view in the interview in the group task as it is easy to be forgotten about while others are talking over. During the interview stage within you need to look into the products sage sell as they may ask about your knowledge of these
