I work as a Business Apprentice within the Corporate Identity team. My daily tasks consist of responding/answering dealer queries via phone & email, maintaining my departments budgets, formatting letters, etc. I currently am involved in 2 projects both of which require a weekly meetings to be kept updated and to ensure we have every detail recorded i create the meeting minutes.
Working as part of the Corporate Identity team has allowed me to experience many different working environments such as in an office, at a conference and at a national event. By having the chance to work in these environments and places, my knowledge & skills with the car industry have developed massively.
After working for over a year with Corporate Identity i have experienced more than i could hope for, such as; meeting incredible individuals who i look up too; being able to not only attend but contribute towards a National Event and most of all i have been able to advance my abilities & knowledge within the car industry. I hope that I will be able to continue working for PSA in the near future.
My apprenticeship programme is very well organised. When i started (back in October 2017) i was given a tutorial like introduction to the programme explaining everything from the experiences to expect, the benefits from the programme (company car, high salary [for an apprentice] and more) as well as the structure in which you carry out the apprenticeship.
If i require support to carry out, tasks that i have been set or ideas i have to improve the quality of the work i receive assistance from colleagues all around the company not only from my own department. This allows me to complete tasks to a high quality and reduce the time it takes to do the work.
My apprenticeship programme is very well organised. When i started (back in October 2017) i was introduced to the structure in which PSA carry out my apprenticeship. My training is carried out & managed by a company called Callex ltd. UK and i have a specific assessor who assists me and assists me with my work.
My apprenticeship training as a whole improves my knowledge of working within a business industry and constantly enhances my skills such as, teamwork, organisation, self motivation, determination and many more. My training provider (assessor) helps me perform better since they assist me with my learning and encourage me to pursue goals.
My department & I always have professional gatherings at restaurants to discuss work as well as socialise with everyone. This helps with making connections with one another which increases the chemistry and likelihood of collaborations on certain projects that require more individuals to carry out the tasks to be able to complete it to a high quality.
Yes
In my opinion, PSA is a great workplace and has a comfortable environment to work in. After working for over a year with Corporate Identity i have experienced more than i could hope for, such as; meeting incredible individuals who i look up too; being able to not only attend but contribute towards a National Event and most of all i have been able to advance my abilities & knowledge within the car industry.
The best advice i can give is to be yourselves in every possible way, prepare before you have your face to face meetings to answer questions that are thrown your way but don't make your answers script like as no employer likes to listen to a scripted piece of work, they want you to act normal how you would in the working environment.
