I help people on a day to day basis reading payroll support on Sage 50 cloud payroll and instant payroll. If a customer needs technical help i can support them, i must perform DPA, before continuing to the query, it could be anything in the program such as pensions, statutory payments etc.
Yes i have learnt many skills in the apprenticeship such as people skills, this is a main part of my job as i am in contact with customer on a daily basis, another skill i have learnt is communication which i have to do in every interaction with a customer.
I enjoy my apprenticeship program as it gives me many skills and opportunities inside Sage, this gives me confidence in Sage as there is alot of support at reach. Also I feel the apprenticeship work is manageable as i scheduled time off line to get my work done to ensure i am not flustered.
My programme is structured quite well as once a fortnight I do work around the apprenticeship aswelll as that once a week I get time off line which is great as it allows me to keep on top of it all, It also lets me focus on my actual job swell which is great.
I receive a lot of support from my employer, I have many people i can go to seeking help or guidance the first one is my manager, she will guide me to finding a solution, as well as her I have other people who can support like HR team aswell as my mentor.
The support I receive towards my qualification is great as my tutor is there if i need any support or arent clear on a topic covered in day realse, also the accessibility of the support is good as I can physically talk to my tutor of if needed email her in terms of guidance.
The things in learning in my apprenticeship help me massively in my role as it gives me a better understanding of DPA which is something i must comply with aswell as things such as laws and legislation. Which ultimately means i know more than i did before starting my qualification.
Sage offers alot of activities to ensure everyone is involved, for example Sage foundation means staff from Sage can get involved in helping the community, it is great as it means you know your doing something for a great cause as well as building a network with people along the way.
Yes
I would recommend Sage to a friend as they are a great employer who offers a lot of support and guidance to ensure the journey with Sage is as smooth as possible. As well as that i feel the work load is manageable which helps reduce stress inside the role.
I would give a tip of keep trying, if you dont get the job try else where in Sage, as well as that to make sure your clear what the job role is whether that is finance or technical support as well as what it entails. Networking as much as possible is important when applying.
