  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • The programme I am on is KBS 360 so you rotate every 6 months so your day to day role will change depending on which rotation you have been placed in. I am currently in Business support and I answer emails, do disruption lists, print and post etc it is a secretarial based role and its okay. However my last rotation was very different I was in the UK design team and I loved it I learned how to edit videos, use camera and lighting equipment. I edited videos , helped with filming sessions and learnt how to use different editing software's. Your experience is based on what rotation you are in.

I leant how to use a software called Camtasia and I now, know the ins and outs of the software.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The organisations is somewhat organised/ structure at the beginning it was not that well organised/ structured this may be due to the fact its the first year of the programme launching so the organisation is still learning and adapting to the feedback given by the apprentices. Hopefully the with the feedback given the programme will improve for new joiners

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • At the begging the support from the employer was ok however they are something's that the support is not very good at all for example the placement you are in they have no idea what the programme is or how it works so it makes it hard to be supported.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • At the begging the training provider support was not good at all, it got a lot better once feedback was given to the employer and the support increased drastically which allowed us to better in our work given by the training provider. As now we have regular calls and webinars as before the call were just every 6-8 weeks.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • To an extent the qualification has helped me to perform better in my role as the work set by the training provider pushes you to do certain tasks so you can meet the criteria and pass the work. For example if in your everyday role you don't manage others the work forces you to find a task to fill the criteria.
