on a day to day basis, I work in audit. my job is to assist my team with audit work for example sample testing as well as other sorts of test. I also have to compile evidence and check if the invoices match. Audit is a role with many different opporurtunites.
I have gained many skills since ive started working at kpmg such as excel skills. working in audit helps you gain invaluable skills that would set you well in any chosen field. I have also learnt how to present myself in a better and a more professional manner. Also increase in confidence.
I enjoy my programme a lot. I have made many new friends for life. also getting paid to work and gaining a professional qualification is great. there is no uni debt to look forward to, you get paid well from a very young age, the progression in the future is amazing
the programme Is very well structured. there are many people to help and guide you towards your goal. the exam structure is laid out in advance so that you now what is in store for you. overall, kpmg is a very organised firm with a good structure that will help you exceed.
I receive a lot of support from my employer kpmg. we have many people we can talk to for example performance managers, line managers, resourcing managers. all of these people are here to help you and allow you to be comfortable whilst working at kpmg. overall the support at this firm is amazing.
we receive a lot of support from our training provider bpp. for example, we get online tuiton to help learn the content. we have access to online materials and questions. we get sent a workbook to complete questions. we are also given days off to study for these exams which helps
I feel that learning from my training provider has significantly helped me in performing better in my role. I understand the basics of accounting better now. I have learned about debits and credits. have also learned key important lessons such as ethics and integrity. this is often overlooked in the studying phase
Kpmg regularly hold social events for its employees. my department used to hold a social every Friday evening for everyone in the department to get involved in. examples of socials include a meal, pub, comedy night, sports night, and many more. it is a very sociable firm with things available for all interests.

I would recommend kpmg to a friend as it has been a great experience so far in my life. it has helped me excel in accounting, I have been paid well so far and the future looks bright. I would definitely recommend kpmg to a friend. its a life changing opportunity.
I would advise everyone to research audit so that they know what they are getting themselves into. sometimes, people are shocked when joinng as hours can be long in busy season. you should know what you are getting into, its not an easy job but it has a bright future
